How Microneedling Works

There are tiny needles in the tip of the microneedle device.  When engaged, they create tiny microchannels on the surface of your skin.  This tricks your skin in to thinking it’s been injured which stimulates your body’s natural healing process, rejuvenating your skin from the inside out.

This happens as part of a 3-step process.

Three Steps to a Microneedling Service

Phase 1 - Inflammation

Step 1

The needles penetrating the surface of your skin triggers your immune system to cleanse the wound while removing build up or debris.  Then your body will increase blood flow to the area to begin the process of creating new tissue.

Step 2 Proliferation

Step 2

The wound begins to heal and a new network of blood vessels are developed.

Step 3

The wound is healed and replaced with new dermal tissue and blood vessels. Which all leads to new collagen production!

Benefits of Microneedling

Safe and effective

Minimally invasive

On top of all the things it can improve, Microneedling is a great option because it’s minimally invasive and requires very little down time.

Finally, unlike some other treatments, microneedling is safe and effective for the majority of skin types.  While you’ll need to be assessed to make sure you have no contraindictions, microneedling is generally a treatment that most clients can benefit from!

Is it safe?

Yes!  We carefully research any treatment we offer and we specifically picked the SkinPen because it is the world’s first FDA approved microneedling device.  It comes with a single use needle cartridge so each patient receives their own cartridge.
